Taking control of one’s digital transformation

Taking control of one’s digital transformation

February 5, 2022 Change Management, Transformation Digitale

Saturday, February 5, 2022, it’s 9am.

It is the 3rd and last day of the first module of the 5th edition of the Certificate of Advance Study (CAS) “Digital Transformation” of the Haute Ecole de Gestion de Genève. A first module dedicated to strategy.

A 6-month program of “public utility”, as it prepares for the digital world. This world is not for tomorrow. It is already here, today (and in fact yesterday).

Whether we regret it or welcome it, our best interest, individuals and companies alike, is to adapt. Fast.

Let’s remember Darwin.

What do we mean by fast ?

We will never go as fast as the digital world, which innovates, develops and transforms at the speed of data, fiber optics and processors… and light.

Fast means, on a human scale, to take the first step today without waiting, without procrastinating, and to persevere with constancy on this trail.

14 ultra-motivated and high level participants.

We talked about strategy, yes, digital strategy, of course, strategic transformation, obviously, but applicable and applied strategy, inspired by the work and the method of iconyl, a method developped for SMEs at first.

A method imagined, created, carried by Christian Mustad.

Because in a SME, speeches and Powerpoint presentations are not enough. You need something concrete and pragmatic. Something “Down to Earth”. A bridge over the ground that allows you to move from strategic thinking to action plans and concrete projects that will really engage the company in its transformation.

With impact. A lasting impact.

And you know what? this is actually true for all companies of all sizes, not just SMEs.

However, working with SMEs teaches humility and pragmatism.

Thank you to Yvan Cognasse and Alexandre Caboussat, founders and directors of the CAS TD program, for developping this public service in Geneva, and for allowing me once again to be in the business of transmitting and enriching the knowledge and experience of everyone, including myself.

This was especially important and meaningful this year.
